Yes!  Another fantastic Soccer Sunday with Toledo TOPSoccer!  Personally, I had a great time playing with my new teammate Mason!  But I also wanted to take a moment to share with you why we do what we do.  For starters, how about these two:

Can you get any cuter?  And they are so happy when they get to play!  Their smiles and giggles are infectious!  Did I mention how cute they are?

And how about these guys?

I love that we have participants of all ages coming out and having fun learning the game of soccer!  And sometimes they are so silly!  Just to make you laugh!

And then there is this story that was passed on to me.  To set it up, Zoey is one of our participants.  She is a sweetheart of a girl, always smiling.  Her Teammate at one of our sessions was a TFA player named Owen.  One morning Zoey’s mom sent the following text to Owen’s mom:

Cutest thing this morning & I wanted to share! I know you guys won't be at TopSoccer this afternoon, but Zoe asked if she had school today. I said no but you have soccer. She says: Owen? I said not this time, but next time!

I'm just going to tell you how absolutely AMAZING that is!!! She has such a deficit in her short term memory & for her to recall Owens name AND associate him with Soccer is shy of miraculous! We pray all the time for her development to continue to progress & not plateau & that her improvements be shown to us! This was one of those amazing moments and it's your son!! Please feel blessed that the lord is doing good things with that boy!! Even on the days he drives you crazy.  He is making a difference in Zoe's life & ours as a family - who ever would of thought it would be like this!!

Thank You to Owen for being such a rock star & you for raising one!! Great job peeps!!

Here is the best part; Owen was told about this and came that day to be a teammate to Zoey!

And finally, we wanted to take a moment to recognize some of our TOPSoccer regulars who have been recognized by Ohio North (OYSAN).  Ohio North is the league in which our TFA teams play.  Every year at their Annual Meeting, they recognize members of the soccer community with various awards.  This year, two of our very own received awards for their time and dedication to Toledo TOPSoccer.  Pictured below are Jason McNamee who received TOPSoccer Coach of the Year; and Connor Hagans who received TOPSoccer Buddy (Teammate) of the Year.  Both of these gentlemen have been instrumental in helping Toledo TOPSoccer become what it is today.  Thank you, Jason, and Connor!
